Signs Your Dog Trusts You More Than You Realize

Dogs can't say it, so they show it instead, usually in moments so small we walk right past them. Here's what to actually watch for.

The Belly-Up Nap

A dog sprawled belly-up around you is doing something genuinely vulnerable. In the wild, that posture is a real risk. Choosing to do it near you, on purpose, is about as clear a compliment as a dog can give.

The Soft Eyes

Not the hard stare, the soft one. Dogs release oxytocin (the same bonding hormone new parents get) when they lock eyes with someone they trust. It's a real, measurable thing, not just a sweet moment.
